Simone O Higginbotham is an author, publisher, and storyteller whose work reflects resilience, reflection, and the power of personal transformation. Through her writing, she invites readers into honest conversations about life, healing, growth, and the lessons that shape who we become.

Her inaugural book, Caged by Words – Something Like a Memoir, was released in 2015. The book offered readers a deeply personal narrative that explored the complexities of life, voice, and survival. Blending memoir with reflection, Caged by Words introduced Simone’s powerful storytelling style—one that captures the realities of lived experience while encouraging readers to confront their own truths. The book marked the beginning of her literary journey and established her voice as both reflective and fearless.

More than a decade later, Simone returns with her sophomore book, Tilted 55, set for release on May 9, 2026. Years in the making, Tilted 55 reflects on more than five decades of life experiences—loss, lessons, healing, and becoming. The book explores what it means to remain standing when life shifts unexpectedly, reminding readers that sometimes life doesn’t break us—it simply tilts us, giving us a new perspective on who we are and where we are going.

Denise Vernon-Dyson serves as the Editorial Production Manager, bringing her strong eye for detail, creativity, and leadership to every project. As the owner of D.C. Dyson Consulting, LLC, she specializes in helping entrepreneurs and organizations build their brands through strategic consulting, design, and management services. Denise is passionate about empowering others to find their voice, refine their vision, and exceed their goals, both in business and in life.

Tiah is a talented high school student from New Orleans, Louisiana (NOLA), with an iimpressive knack for creativity and marketing. She brings fresh energy, bold ideas, and a passion for storytelling that perfectly aligns with the mission of Rebirth Magazine.
In her role, Tiah will assist with day-to-day operations, social media management, and creative content development. She’ll also contribute to magazine production, event planning, and digital communications — gaining hands-on experience in media and publishing along the way.
